About the Ritual

What Is a Moroccan Hammam?

The Moroccan hammam is a centuries-old North African bathing ritual focused on deep purification with natural ingredients. It begins with warmth and steam, followed by black soap, a rich olive-based paste that softens the skin and prepares it for exfoliation.

A kessa glove then gently removes dead skin, before a mineral-rich rhassoul clay mask purifies and argan oil nourishes. Our Royal Moroccan Hammam brings this treasured tradition to Istanbul, offering a beautiful alternative to the classic Turkish bath.

Moroccan Hammam FAQ

How is it different from a Turkish bath?

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The ingredients are natural and generally well tolerated. If you have sensitive skin, allergies or a skin condition, please let us know before your visit so we can adjust the ritual.

Can I add a massage afterwards?

Yes. A relaxing massage is a wonderful way to complete the ritual. Let us know when you book and we will plan your visit.
